General Information

Also known as 110 Aust General Hospital, or 110 (Perth) Military Hospital was raised at Claremont in January 1940. It moved to its permanent site at Hollywood in late 1941, and in March 1942 was expanded from 400 to 600 beds. It acted as the main military hospital for Western Australia. In November 1943 it was renamed 110th (Perth) Military Hospital to reflect that it was the main military hospital in the state, In March 1945 3 Hospital Maintenance Platoon was attached, and after the war it became Hollywood Repatriation Hospital until it was privatised in 1994.
