Early Life
Herbert Patrick was born in Goomalling W.A. on 13 March 1922.
War Service
Herbert enlisted in the CMF as a member of the 10th Australian Light Horse Regiment ww2 on 21 Oct 1941 in Bunbury and was called up for full time service on 5 Jan 1942. On 21 Apr 1942 he was detached to the 6th Infantry Brigade, with initial posting on 31 May 1942 to A Coy of the 10th Reconnaissance Battalion. On 16 Jun 1942 he was transferred to the 25th Light Horse (Machine Gun) Regiment which was later known as 25th Cavalry Regiment. From 7 Dec 1942 until 23 Jan 1943 he was granted Leave without Pay (LWOP). rejoining at Moora. On 13 May 1943 he was again granted LWOP, this time until 18 Jun 1943.

Death
Herbert died at the age of 87 on 15 March 2009.
