Brief History
The No. 2 Reserve Personnel Pool (2RPP) was formed at Coomalie in the Northern Territory on 12 Jul 1944. When the construction group responsible for construction of unit's buildings was withdrawn, the work was finished by unit personnel. The unit moved to Winnellie on 19 Sep 1945, where activities such as billiards, table tennis, badminton and cricket kept personnel occupied while waiting for a new posting. During October 1945, 2,727 personnel were posted in and 2408 were posted out of the pool. The unit was disbanded at the end of January 1946.
