Pre War
War Service
Enlisted at the No. 4 Recruit Depot RAAF on 30 Jan 1942 as a Sick Quarter Attendant. She was sent to No. 4 Recruit Depot RAAF at Pearce to undertake initial training before being posted to No. 1 RAAF Hospital in Laverton, Victoria on 12 Mar 1942. Her posting changed on 29 Apr 1942 to the No. 2 RAAF Hospital at Ascot Vale, where she was also a patient from 23 - 25 May 1942, and again from 28 May to 4 Jun 1942. Dulcie was sent to the No. 4 School of Technical Training RAAF on 25 Aug 1942. She was granted 7 days leave without pay from 20 - 26 Sep 1942
Dulcie was then posted to the RAAF Wing of the Royal Adelaide Hospital on 1 Jan 1943 and while there, on 29 May 1943 she was remustered as a Nursing Orderly and on 1 Jul 1943 she was promoted Acting Corporal. She had been admitted to the 105th Australian MIlitary Hospital (105 AGH) for treatment from 28 - 30 Jan 1943, and from 3 - 12 Aug 1943 she was a patien at the RAAF Wing of Royal Adelaide Hospital. Her rank changed to Temporary Corporal on 1 Dec 1943 following completion of an NCO's course before being posted to the Staff of the No. 6 RAAF Hospital on 24 Feb 1944. Dulcie completed the No. 7 WAAAF Nursing Orderly Course on 22 May 1944
Dulcie's last active posting was on 6 Jun 1944 to No. 4 Aircraft Depot RAAF, which in 1943 included 24 WAAAFs. It was responsible for servicing and repairing aircraft from RAAF units based in WA as well as Australian and US Catalinas. She transferred to the No. 5 Personnel Depot RAAF on 9 Nov 1944 and was discharged on 25 Jan 1945. Dulcie's father Austin Faulkner served with the 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion.
Post War
In 1945 Dulcie married Ronald George Bocking in Perth. Ron died on 7 Nov 2004, aged 90 in Bentley.
