On 21 Jun 1941 Keith married Pearl Amelia Bell (1917 - 2003) in Kelmscott. They had three sons and a daughter, including Kevin Murray Buckingham (1943 - 2013); and Daryl Keith Buckingham (1945- 1949).
War Service
Mobilised on 6 Mar 1941, Keith was a member of the 16th Australian Infantry Battalion (Cameron Highlanders Regiment). Between 17 Jul and 30 Sep 1941 he attended a training course, and on its conclusion he was called up for full time duty on 1 Oct 1941.
