William James Hartley Halliday was born in 1886. His birth was registered in Lithgow, NSW, Australia.
Marriage
William married Eileen Harriet Fairfax in 1913 in Victoria and he divorced Eileen in 1936. In 1940 in Perth, William married Dorothy Ellen Bishop. The couple had five children.
Electoral Roll
According to the electoral roll, in 1949 and 1958 William lived at "Wahroonga" on Scott Road Kelmscott. In 1968 he lived at Ecko Road (previously Scott Road) in Kelmscott, and in 1972 he lived at 5 Wahroonga Road Kelmscott. It's is entirely possible he was in the same property the entire time, and the street names changed around him.
