Early Life

Robert Traill-Nash was born c1879 at the Royal Perth Hospital. His father was William Nash, was born in Dumbarton Scotland. His mother was Sarah Traill.

WW1 Service

Robert had served in the Division Ammunition Column in France.

Pre World War II

Robert married Eliza Gertrude Green on 7 May 1919, in Moora. The couple lived on Albany Highway in Kelmscott on a property called 'Glen Eland', where the family had an orchard. They operated a business from the property as R. Traill-Nash & Son, Nurserymen. Robert and Eliza had three children Clyde (b. 1920), Rupert, and Eric (b.1925).

War Service

Robert was enlisted on 26 Aug 1940 despite his age to make use of his cabinet making skills in the 7th Workshop & Park Company. During March, May and September 1941 Robert was granted leave for 6 days each time, before transferring to the Western Command Recruit Reception & General Details Depot for discharge on 22 May 1942, Having reached the age of retirement".

Post War

Robert and Eliza continued to live on Albany Highway Kelmscott after Robert returned from WWII.

Notes

Robert and Eliza's children Rupert and Clyde were successful in their chosen fields, and Eric was very active in the Kelmscott community.
