Early Life
Mary Jane Wray was born on 18 May 1855 at Parade Street, Albany. Her father was John Wray and her mother was Celia Wray (nee Plumpton).

There has been no marriage recorded.

According to the electoral roll in 1914 Mary lived at Short Street, Albany. In 1918 Mary lived at Stirling Street, Albany. In 1931 Mary lived at Gardener Street, Albany. In 1937 Mary lived at 21 Council Street, Albany. In 1949 Mary lived c/o Boucher, York Street, Albany. Her occupation was predominately Home Duties.
Immigration
Mary's parents, John and Celia Wray, moved from Co. Durham, landing in Fremantle on September 1853 on the sailing vessel "Clara". The family immediately moved to Albany.
Community Involvement
Death
Mary died at the age of 95 on 10 August 1950. Her funeral was held on 11 August 1950 as she had recently moved to Fremantle. The reason she moved to the Perth area was due to ailing health, and she would be surrounded by nieces.

Mary had two siblings, William Plumpton Wray and Christian Ann Wray, both living in Perth.
