Early Life
His birth in 1894 was believed to be in Collingwood Victoria. Little is known of Jack's early life. It is believed he was born Mansueto Giovanni Mangini, with his first name Giovanni being changed to John and hence Jack. His father was John Mangini and his mother was Ann Mary Delzoppo
Marriage
Jack had a previous marriage to Catherine E. Smith in 1918 at Boulder W.A. Jack had twin girls with Catherine E. Smith: Catherine Ruth and Elizabeth born in 1933. Elizabeth was stillborn and Catherine died at the age of 13 (in 1946). Later in life, Jack met Alice Mangini while on a trip across the Nullabor and later married her. They were amongst the intrepid people who drove across the Nullabor before it was a sealed road. He was in his 70s when he met Alice, who was in her 50s at the time they were married.
Occupation
Jack was listed as being a Headmaster at Gosnells State School in 1954. He may have at one stage been a Banker.
Community involvement
Jack arrived in Kelmscott in mid 1979. He was Treasurer at St Mary's in the Valley Anglican Church in the late 1970s and possibly early 1980s.
Death
Jack died on 12 November 1985. He was cremated at Karrakatta and has a plaque at Kelmscott.
