Early Life
Delys Powell was born on 02 January 1939. Her parents were Ivy Edna Chedzey (nee Cull) and Thomas Henry Chedzey. She had five siblings; Robina, Ivy, Lorna, Coral, Jennifer.
Marriage
Delys married Kevin Patrick Powell in June 1960. They had three children: Diane in 1962, Trevor in 1965 and Ian in 1968.
Education
Delys attended Armadale Primary School in 1952 before attending Girdlestone High School. Towards to end of her high school years, at the age of 15, she became a trainee telephonist.
Residences
Growing up Delys lived at Eight Road Armadale, then, after marriage, moved to Fourth Road Armadale. She also lived in two different homes on Railway Avenue Armadale
Death
Delys died at the age of 83 years and her memorial is at St. Marys in the Valley Kelmscott.
