Brief History
Formed at Keswick Barracks, Adelaide as part of a re-organisation of RAE works units in September 1942, they were to manage works projects in the Adelaide area. The unit moved to Mt Isa in January 1943 to manage works projects along the supply route to Darwin. In December they moved to Katherine where their scope of works expanded to manage works between Tennant Creek and Noonamah. Relieve in May 1945, they moved to the Engineer's Training Centre at Kapooka in NSW where they were disbanded in June 1945.
