Pre War
War Service
On 12 May 1943 Daisy enlisted in the Australian Women's Army Service in Perth, and four days later was transferred to the 6th AWS Training Company. Training completed she transferred to a holding unit on 16 Jun 1943 before entraining on 26 Jun 1943 for the 2nd Australian Signals Training Battalion (AWAS) in Ivanhoe, Victoria where she arrived on 30 June. On 24 Sep 1943 she was detached to the 2nd Australian MTTD Course at Ivanhoe, returning to her unit on 6 Nov 1943.
On 15 Dec 1943 Daisy was transferred to the HQ LHQ School of Signals where on 18 Jan 1944 she was graded as a Driver Motor Transport TGII. On 13 Apr 1944 Daisy was admitted to 115th Australian General Hospital with concussion, rejoining her unit on 20 Apr 1944. The same day she was transferred to LHQ Signals Northern Area where on 12 May 1944 her pay increased to recognise the completion of 12 months service. On 19 Mar 1945 Daisy was charged with having been AWOL from 9:00am until 2:30pm on 17 Mar 1945, her penalty being 7 days Confined to Barracks.
On 11 Mar 1946 Daisy was transferred to Western Command Recruit Reception & General Details Depot where she was discharged on 27 Mar 1946.
