War Service

Along with brother Hubert Lennox, he initially was engaged by the British Red Cross (British Red cross Society & Order of St John Motor Ambulance Unit) as a chauffer in France arriving there on 26 Jul 1915. Another brother, Ian Dacre Richardson, served in the British Air Force.

After leaving the Red Cross on 22 Nov 1915, he was enlisted as a Private with the Royal Army Service Corps as a driver # 153870.

Post War

In 1919 Alexander married Kathleen Louisa Clifton. Kathleen died 13 Oct 1992 in Nedlands, aged 96.
