Allahbuse married in Perth during 1906 to Ellen Roche.

In 1905 Allahbux was a jeweller with a business address of 97 Murray street, Perth; 1910 - 1914 at 183 William street, Perth; 1917 at shop 191 William street, Perth.

War Service

Entered Blackboy Hill camp on 29 Jan 1918 and on 10 Apr 1918 he was allocated to the 1st Western Australian General Reinforcements draft, travelling with them from Albany aboard SS Port Darwin which they boarded on 8 May 1918. On 7 Jun 1918 they disembarked at Suez in Egypt and were taken on strength by the Australian Camp at Suez. However, on 3 Jul 1918 he was transferred to Alexandria to embark again on the SS Port Darwin, this time for England.

On arrival in England he was sent to the 5th Training Battalion to prepare for service in France, and while at Fovant, on 16 Jul 1918 he was allocated to the 28th Battalion reinforcement pool. Proceeding overseas via Dover for Le Havre on 4 Oct 1918, he joined the 28th Battalion at Berteaucourt on 10 Oct 1918. (Berteaucourt was a 25 mile (41km) route march from Amiens where they were deposited by train. The battalion, along with all other Australian Infantry Battalions was then enjoying a period of rest before preparing for battle again. However, they did not need to, as the Armistice intervened. Thus Allabuse did not reach the front lines before the war concluded.

On 17 May 1919 he was detached to the Australian General Base Depot in France, before marching in to the staging camp at Sutton Veny, England on 25 Jun 1919. Discharged by the 5th Military District on 10 Nov 1919.

Post War

OBITUARY - THE LATE MR. A. J. BUTT. The funeral of the late Mr. A. J. Butt, watchmaker and jeweller, of William-street, Perth, and of Crawford-street, East Cannington, late of the 28th Battalion (returned), took place on Thursday afternoon last in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. The deceased, who was 40 years of age, was born at Lahore, India, but had resided in this State for the past 24 years. The cortege moved from Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea's private mortuary in Pier street, and proceeded to the Roman Catholic portion of the Karrakatta Cemetery, where the remains were interred. The Rev. G. P. O'Callaghan conducted the. last rites. The chief mourners were Mrs. Ellen Butt (widow), Messrs. R. Bux and W. Tormey (nephews), Mr. M. Mahomed (brother-in-law), and Messrs. M. and F. Dean (cousins). The pall-bearers were Messrs. P. J. Collins, E. H. Brennan, L. Gibbs, P. Meagher, J. Mauser, and L. Mead. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. G. Hahn, Mr. and Mrs. Mansel, Mrs. and Miss Coulson, Mrs, Black, Mrs. Tchan, Mrs. Drewer, Mrs. Gibbs, Miss E. Martin, and Mr. J. Barry. A large number of wreaths, floral tributes, letters and telegrams of sympathy and condolence were received by the bereaved family.
