Early Life
After his birth in 1894(?), little is known of Jack's early life. It is believed he was born Giovanni Mangini, with his first name Giovanni being changed to John and hence Jack.
Marriage
Jack married Alice Mangini after meeting her while on a cruise in his 70s, as a retired banker (this may have been in the late 1960s). Alice was aged in her 50s at the time and was a school teacher from Tasmania. The couple reportedly drove across the Nullabor before it was a sealed road.
Community involvement
Jack was Treasurer at St Mary in the Valley Anglican Church in the late 1970s and possibly early 1980s.
Death
Jack died on 12 November 1985.
