Pre War
War Service
Bernice enlisted on 26 Jul 1944 at No. 4 RAAF Recruiting Centre, mustered as an Equipment Assistant. SHe was sent to No. 3 WAAAF Training Depot RAAF the same day to join the No. 36 Recruit Drill COurse which concluded on 23 Aug 1944. On 2 Sep 1944 Bernice was posted to No. 1 Engineering School RAAF in Melbourne, but on 22 Oct 1944 she had returned to Western Australia to join No. 10 Stores Depot RAAF at Merredin.
On 29 Jan 1945 Bernice was transferred to the HQ Western Area RAAF, and remined with them until 8 May 1945 when she was posted to No. 4 Stores Depot RAAF at Maylands. This was her last active unit as on 11 Jun 1945 she was posted to No. 5 Personnel Depot RAAF who discharged her the following day - 12 Jun 1945 on compassionate grounds.
Post War
During 1949 Bernice married Leonard Ernest Norris in Perth. Leonard died on 10 Jun 1982, aged 61 at Willetton. They had a son.
