Early Life

After his birth in 1894 in Collingwood Victoria, little is known of Jack's early life. It is believed he was born Manslieto Giovanni Mangini, with his first name Giovanni being changed to John and hence Jack. He arrived in Kelmscott in mid 1979.

Marriage

Jack had a previous marriage to Catherine E.Smith before marrying Alice Mangini, meeting her while on a trip across the Nullabor and married her in 1918 at Boulder W.A.
