Transferred to 2nd Australian General Hospital at Ghezireh on 18 Jan 1916 with orchitis he was released on 9 Feb 1916 to the 3rd Australian Auxiliary Hospital, and then to duty on 24 Feb 1916 - total ineffective period with VD being 43 days.
