Early Life
After his birth in 1894(?), little is known of Jack's early life. It is believed he was born Giovanni Mangini, with his first name Giovanni being changed to John and hence Jack. He arrived in Kelmscott in mid 1979.
Marriage
Jack married Alice Mangini after meeting her while on a trip across the Nullabor. He was in his 70s, when her met Alice she was in her 50s at this time. They were married for at least 25 years.
Occupation
Jack was a retired banker (this may have been in the late 1960s).
Community involvement
Jack was Treasurer at St Mary in the Valley Anglican Church in the late 1970s and possibly early 1980s.
