Joseph Lionel Lockyer (30 January 1869 - 30 September 1942) was born at Northam.
Property
Joseph Lionel Lockyer (who always referred to himself as Lionel) in the 1880s purchased over 3,000 acres of land in Roleystone. The land was originally part of the estate of Thomas Buckingham senior.
Community Life
Lockyer was very involved in community activities, serving on the Kelmscott Road Board and taking on the role of Secretary and Treasurer of the Kelmscott Farmers and Fruit Growers Association.
