Joe remained with them until 6 Mar 1946 when he was transferred to [[No. 6 Central Reserve RAAF]]. On 24 Jun 1946 he was posted to [[HQ North West Area RAAF]], but was moved on to [[RAAF Base Darwin]] on 2 Jul 1946. His next posting was to [[RAAF Base Pearce]]. On 25 Nov 1947 he was transferred to [[No. 10 Stores Depot RAAF]] at Merredin. Finally on 19 Mar 1948 Joseph was sent to [[No. 5 Personnel Depot RAAF]] to prepare for his discharge which occurred on 5 Apr 1948.

War Service

Joseph enlisted in the RAAF at the No. 4 RAAF Recruiting Centre on 22 Dec 1944, mustered as a Cook's Assistant TG V. On 29 Dec 1944 he was transferred to No. 4 Recruit Depot RAAF to undertake No. 294 Recruits Drill Course.
