War Service
Eric was mobilised into the CMF on a part time basis on 19 Sep 1941, and on 16 Oct 1941 he was called up for 180 day's training. He had been posted to HQ Western Command Engineers allocated to the 56th Field Park Company. Soon after on 15 Dec 1941 he was called up for full time service, after which on 17 Jan 1942 Eric was detached to 7th Australian Army Troops Company. he returned to his normal unit on 29 Mar 1942.
