War Service
Enlisted as a trainee telegraphist at No. 4 RAAF Recruiting Centre Perth on 4 May 1943, and posted to No. 1 Engineering School RAAF at Ascot Vale in Victoria. From 10 May until 29 May she undertook a basic Drill course before she began specialist training. Margaret had several visits to the No. 2 RAAF Hospital at Ascot Vale - 1 - 4 Jun 1943; 14 Jul - 5 Aug 1943; and 1 - 12 Oct 1943.
