Early Life
After his birth in 1894 in Collingwood Victoria, little is known of Jack's early life. It is believed he was born Manslieto Giovanni Mangini, with his first name Giovanni being changed to John and hence Jack. He arrived in Kelmscott in mid 1979.
Marriage
Jack had a previous marriage to Catherine E.Smith before marrying Alice Mangini, meeting her while on a trip across the Nullabor and married her in 1918 at Boulder W.A. He was in his 70s, when her met Alice she was in her 50s at the time they were married which lasted at least 25 years. Jack and Alice Mangini had twin girls Catherine Ruth and Elizabeth born in 1933.
