Thomas William Ottaway was born in 1844 and baptised on 10 March 1844 in Wye, Kent. His mother was Betsey Ottaway and father was John Ottaway.
Marriage
Thomas married Ellen Emma Ottaway (nee Staines) in JFM Quarter 1868 at Westminster, Middlesex, England. They had 5 daughters, Florence Ellen born 1869, Eva Portia born 1870, Louisa Lilia born 1872, Ethel Mary born 1874, Hilda Madeleine born 1876, and 3 sons, Hedley Betts born 1878 died 1881, Thomas Austin born 1881, Kenneth Alfred born 1880.
