Remarks

Initially built to service the Australia, Java, Singapore route. In the mid-1920s she shifted to the Australia to Papua New Guinea service and was known for providing its passengers with luxuriously furnished rooms and modern services. She was requisitioned for war service from 1939 until 1945, but remained under the control of the Austalian Government from 1945 until 1948 when she was sold to Wah Shang Steam Ship Company of Shanghi who renamed her Haven. She was broken up in January 1955.


On 21 Jan 1976 Papua New Guinea issued a stamp honouring her service.
