Bruce's first marriage was to Vera Beales in 1935, who died young at age 24 in 1937. His second marriage was with Olga Jane Anderson.

Bruce and Vera had two children: Alan Bruce Beales and Frances Emily Beales (1937-1937). Bruce and Olga had one child - Janet.
Community Life
A Pioneer. He was a good athlete and a member of the Kelmscott cricket club.
Death
Bruce died on 23 September 1990.
