War Service

Joseph was called up for full time duty on 23 Apr 1942 and was detached to the Ascot Camp until 15 Jul 1942 when he was moved to the Karrakatta Camp. He was appointed Captain on 10 Dec 1942 and he then remained the Karrakatta Camp Chaplain until 6 Feb 1946 when his appointment was terminated.

On 3 Jul 1952 Joseph (Clerk in Holy Orders) arrived in Fremantle from Singapore aboard the MV Charon.

On 6 Nov 1954, Joseph (Clergyman) and Minna boarded the SS Strathnaver in London for Fremantle where they arrived on 2 Dec 1954, address on arrival given as St Alban's Rectory, 148 Lincoln street, Perth.
