Early Life
Charles Herbert Gray was born c1890 in Mitcham, Victoria. His father was Charles Gray and his mother was Emily Gray (nee Batty).
Marriage
Charles married Mary Edith Gray (nee Tufnell) in 1914. The marriage was registered at Perth. Charles and Mary had seven children: Charles William, Ruth Emily, Yootha Joan, John Leslie, David Peter, Mary June and Robert Digby.
Electoral Rolls
According to the electoral roll in 1937 Charles lived at Albany Road Kelmscott. His occupation was an Orchardist.
Community Involvement
During the 1940's he was Head Warden for the Kelmscott Air Raid Precautions (A.R.P).
Death
Charles died at the age of 52 years. He was accidently killed when his motorcycle with sidecar ran off the Albany Road and into a ditch at Kenwick.
