Early Life
Amy Joy Dart Charleston (nee Bishop), was born on 24 November 1907 at Leigh on Sea, Essex, England. Her father was Edmund Ernest Bishop (29 July 1855-4 March 1938). Mother's name is unknown at this stage.
Marriage
Amy married Thomas James Charleston in Perth, 1930. Amy had two daughters Amy Betty Latimer (nee Charleston) 1931-2008, interred at Karrakatta and Andrea Warwick Gelmi (nee Charleston) 1936-1938, interred at Mr. Magnet.
Electoral Rolls
According to the electoral roll in 1936, 1937, 1943 and 1949 Amy resided at Lennonville, Mt. Magnet. During this time Amy appears to be living alone. Amy's occupation was Home Duties. According to the electoral roll Thomas James was living in Kalgoorlie at this time. In 1963 Thomas was living at Welshpool Road, Mt. Magnet. His occupation was a Labourer.
The census in 1911 England gives Amy's address as 1 Heath House, Plumstead Common, Woolwich.
Immigration
On 19 February 1927 Amy's mother left England with her three siblings on the ship "Osterley", arriving at Fremantle in March 1927.
Death
Amy died at the age of 41 years on 20 June 1949. She was interred on 22 June 1949.
