Brief History

Formed at Beit Jirja, Palestine before April 1941 with the role of training reinforcements for the Australian Army Service Corp, Ordnance Corp, Medical Corp units, as well as for Provost units. When 1st Australian Corps returned to Australia from the Middle East most of the other training units returned with them. The majority of this unit doing so in March 1942. Following their arrival in Adelaide during April 1942, hey moved to Mt Barker where the unit was disbanded. Those left in the Middle East were reformed as the Services Training Wing' at Nuseirat, later in May to become the Services Training Company, with the purpose of training reinforcements for 9th Australian Infantry Division units. The unit was disbanded in January 1943.
