Brief History
84th Australian Operating Section was formed in January 1944 at Mt Stuart in Queensland from the disbanded 14th W/T Task Section and 45th W/T Task Section. It joined the 3rd Company Advanced LHQ Signals which became the 3rd Company Line of Communication Signals in December 1944. The unit worked the Townville area until the end of the war.
