Brief History

The 6th Field Artillery Brigade was raised on 19 October 1915 and retained its structure until January 1917 at which point it was disbanded as part of an AIF-wide re-organisation of artillery assets and units. It comprised:

  • 6th Field Artillery Brigade 19 October 1915 – 20 January 1917
  • 106th Field Artillery (Howitzer) Battery

One hundred and fifty one men lost their life while posted to this unit.
