Brief History
In August 1943 engineering staff attached to various camp staffs around the Perth metropolitan area were gathered together to form the 18th Australian Maintenance Platoon based at Karrakatta. It is likely that this unit also included maintenance staff at the 110th Australian Base Hospital at Hollywood.
