Brief History

Allocated in December 1941, but not raised until July 1942 at Melville, attached to the HQ 3rd Australian Corps. With the reduction in troops in Western Australia during 1943, the unit was transferred to the Northern Territory in November, relieving the 116th Mobile Bath Unit at the 68 Mile (113 km) south of Darwin facility. As troops in the Northern Territory declined it was relocated again, this time to Ingleburn in NSW during January 1945 and then to Rosebery in February. There it was disbanded in July 1945, with remaining staff transferring to the 115th Australian Mobile Bath Unit which was sent to Bougainville.
