William Binns Green was born c1862 and was christened on 13th March 1862 at Saint Chad, Lichfield, Staffordshire, England. His parents were Thomas and Jane Green.

According to the electoral roll in the house was William’s father Thomas who was the farm bailiff and his wife. In 1891 William and Annie were living in London, Lichfield Staffordshire with his brother Arthur.  Three farm servants were recorded as being present on the night of the census.

On 7th April 1905 William and young son William departed England on board the “Ormuz” heading for Fremantle.  Annie and the remaining children departed England on the 23 March 1906 on board the “Oroya”.

William's occupation in England was a Farmer. After arriving in Australia he went into partnership with Mr. F. Powell on he property "Wungong Farm" under the name "Green and Powell", where they had a dairy herd.
