Martha Wesley (nee: Vespermann) was born in 1903 in West Australia. Martha was the daughter of Henry Vespermann and Sarah Jane Vespermann nee Jacob.

Marriage

Martha married Robert Henry Wesley in 1932. The marriage was celebrated of 5 March 1932 at the Roleystone Congregational Church Roleystone. Robert and Martha had five children, Sylvia, Irene, Hazel, Florence and Robert.

Electoral Rolls

According to the electoral roll in 1925 and 1968 Martha and Robert lived at Roleystone. In 1977 they lived at 122 Brookton Highway Roleystone.

Community Involvement

Martha was involved with the Roleystone Choral and Dramatic Society and the Congregational Church Ladies Guild. Martha was a very keen gardener and won many prizes at the Kelmscott Agricultural Show. Martha also loved dancing.

Death

Martha died on 7 April 1987 at the age of 84 years.

Other Notes

In April 1945 a letter was sent to Armadale/Kelmscott Road Board advising that her land adjoining the Roleystone Hall was not for sale - referring to Roleystone Tennis Courts.
