Pre War
War Service
Enlisted in Perth on 10 Aug 1942 and taken on for full time service in the Australian Women's Army Service. On 15 Aug 1942 Roma was transferred to Area Signals and was detached to the Melville camp from 1 - 27 Sep 1942 (see Camp Staffs, Western Command). Detached again the same day, this time to CHQ Claremont where she served until 19 Oct 1942. On the same day she was detached to man the switchboard at the Melville camp until 24 Dec 1942. While there she had been given the Trade Grouping of S/Wn TG II.
On 28 Dec 1942 Roma was transferred to Fortress Signals Albany. On 10 Aug 1943 Roma received a pay increase following the completion of 12 months service. On 22 Sep 1943 Roma was transferred to Fortress Signals Fremantle, remaining with them until she transferred to 31st AWAS Barrack for discharge on 13 Apr 1944. Her discharge fro the Army occurred on 19 Apr 1944 in Claremont.

During 1945 Roma married Allen Leslie Feast. Records on the internet suggesting the year was 1941 contradict Army records.
