War Service
Ted enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps at Pickering Brook on 24 Apr 1942 and was allocated to 2 Platoon, 'A' Company of the 12th (Jarrah) VDC Battalion, based around Pickering Brook. On 1 Sep 1943 he was promoted to Acing Corporal and from 27 Sep - 9 Oct 1943 attended a Signals training course at Northam. On 7 Feb 1944 he was allotted a new Army Number of W62213, before being transferred to the reserve on 31 Jul 1944.
