Early Life
Born 31 May 1912 to George and Emily Beales (the family arrived in Australia in 1923) young Phillip Bruce Beales was known as Bruce to family and friends. His father George died on 25 March 1924, only one year after arriving in Roleystone. Bruce was only 12 at the time. His two siblings were George (jnr) Walker Beales and Thomas Ross Beales.
Marriage and Family
Bruce's first marriage was to Vera May Beales in 1935, who died young at age 24 in 1937. Bruce and Vera had two children: Alan Bruce Beales and Frances Emily Beales (1937-1937).
Phillip's second marriage was with Olga Jane Anderson in 1938. Bruce and Olga had one child: Janet.
Community Life
A Pioneer. He was a good athlete and a member of the Kelmscott cricket club.
Death
Bruce died on 23 September 1990.
