Also to the memory of Thomas Buckingham who departed this life on the 5th October 1879 at the ripe age of 71 years. "When ripe in years, Death called away their souls to mingle with the blest. Lord, grant that all their offspring may rejoin them in eternal rest". |

Mary married Thomas Buckingham (Snr.) in Devon, United Kingdom on 23 October 1835. They had eleven children: Maria, Thomas, Mary, Alexander, Betsy, Caroline, Jane, William, Ellen, John, Hugh James.
Immigration
Mary and Thomas(Snr) Buckingham immigrated to Australia on the ship "Sophia" on 27 July 1850.
