Pre War

During early 1925 Percy married Sarah Snell (1901 - 1980) in the Pilbara. Sarah died in Midland on 9 Dec 1980 aged 79.

War Service

Percy enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps at Maddington on 29 Mar 1942 and was allocated to the 2nd (Fremantle) VDC Battalion. On 8 Sep 1944 Percy was appointed Lance Corporal, and along with the rest of his unit he was placed on the Reserve on 1 May 1945.
