During 1937 Arthur had married Agnes Campbell McGhie. (1910 - 2007) On 14 Mar 2007 Agnes died in Nedlands, aged 96.

War Service

Arthur enlisted in Boyanup for part time service in the Volunteer Defence Corps on 26 Apr 1942 and was allotted to the 5th (Busselton) VDC Battalion. Her was placed on Reserve on 31 Jul 1944 before being released completely on 15 Oct 1945

Electoral Roll entries: 1949 - 1968 at Boyanup, mechanic; 1972 - 1977 at 37 Stockdale crescent, Wembley Downs, retired; 1980 at 14/48 Austin street, Shenton Park.
