Early Life

Murray Austen-Smith was born on 20 January 1945 in Newton Abbot, Devon England. His father was Roy Joseph Austen-Smith (18 April 1916 - 2 April 1991) and his mother was Dorothy Austen-Smith (nee Bendle).

Marriage

Murray married Fong Eng Austen-Smith (died 2 April 2021).

Electoral Rolls

According the the electoral roll in 1977 Murray lived at 67M Hill Street Perth and in 1980 he lived at 41 Wickham Street East Perth, with Fong Eng Austen-Smith (died 2 April 2021).

Community Involvement

According to Trove, Murray was a member of Swan River Rowing-Sculls. He won the Veteran's Title and Men's "B" Grade. This was published on Monday 23 January 1983.

Death

Murray died at the age of 50 on 7 October 1995 in Zimbabwe, Africa.

Immigration

Murray immigrated to Australia, with his parents from Southampton to Fremantle, on the MV "Stirling Castle" in April 1946, arriving on 12 June 1946. He was only 1 at the time. The address on arrival was Albany Highway, Armadale.
