Ernest was born in Islington, London in 1893. His father's name was Alfred Ginn and his mother's name was Mary J. Ginn.

Marriage

Ernest married Lucy Anne Ginn (nee Church) in Islington, London in 1918 before immigrating to Australia. Ernest and Lucy had three children, Ernest A born in 1921, Dennis Walter born in 1924 and Eileen Frances born in 1932.

Immigration

Ernest William immigrated to Fremantle in Western Australia with his wife Lucy Ann and son Ernest A. on the ship "Omar" on the 16 March 1924. They were part of a Group Settlement Scheme, called Group 78 Courtney South of Margaret River.
