War Service
At Armadale on 15 May 1942, Frederick enlisted in the Volunteer Defence Corps and was assigned to the [[12th (Jarrah) VDC Battalion] who took him on strength on 20 Aug 1942. On 7 Feb 1944 at Pinjarra he was issued with a revised Army number - now 93094. On 312 Jul 1944 he was placed on the Reserve
