Beth Blair (nee Salter) was a long-time Kelmscott resident and local historian.
Parents
Father - Talbot Samuel SALTER (born 17 Sep, 1903; died Mar 1984); Farmer Mother - Margaret Joy OTTAWAY (Maggie) (born ca. 1910; died 9 Aug 1998) Beth was born in the district to local residents Talbot and Maggie Salter who owned "Sunnyside", a local property fronting Canning River with the then Roleystone Road - later River Road and now Brookton Highway as road frontage. Talbot held the property until 1963. She was one of nine children.
Marriage
Beth SALTER married Colin BLAIR at St Mary's church, Kelmscott in 1955.
Community Contribution
Beth was very involved in local history, particularly with History House Museum, and was a member of the Armadale-Kelmscott Historical Society.
