General Information
Unit was in Southport in early 1943, and then to ?? prior to going to New Guinea. The hospital embarked in Brisbane and disembarked four days later at Port Moresby. Later moves took them to Buna on the north coast of New Guinea, and then Finschhafen. At Buna they had established a fully equipped 600 bed hospital.
Two members of the unit died during their time with the unit, both to illness, one in Victoria and one in new Guinea.
