It is possible that Florence died while giving birth to her second child, a daughter Florence. Sid McHugh (Florence's brother) wrote "Florrie died...when Little Florrie was born , I can recall some of the incidents associated with that sad occasion, such as the telegram we received from her husband when she died. Will Yates wire: "Florrie died this morning - baby daughter alive. Heartbroken....Florrie's death was a great loss indeed to me. I could not believe for a time that my beautiful sister was dead. My sister was buried at a little place called Gosnells in the West".
