Emily Beales (nee Adams) was born in 1877 in Hunslet, Leeds Yorkshire. Emily was the daughter of Thomas Adams and Emily Adams.

Emily married George Beales in 1899 Nottingham (England). They had three children, George Walker Beales, Thomas Ross Beales, Philip Bruce Beales.
